All About Dennis the Carpet Man

My father, Dave, started installing carpet on the side with a neighbor of his more than 35 years ago. He started out just doing work for family and friends, but it grew from there and a“word of mouth” business was started. It has always been a small, in-home operation. My father never wanted a storefront because that would just raise the prices of materials. He also liked the idea of showing samples in the customers home. After all, there is no better place to look for carpet than in your own home - a stress and hassle-free atmosphere.

After awhile customers were asking for different floor coverings: Linoleum, wood, tile etc. and my father stepped up to the demand. [No problem, he loves a challenge!]

For a while my father was purchasing his materials from local distributors, also known as "the middleman." However, he wanted to go to the source... Georgia. It took him 15 years to get the volume of business needed before the suppliers would even consider opening an account for him, but he did it and now we have relationships with most of the mills.

And there you have it... direct from the mills, low overhead and no middleman. Works for me!

I myself have been in the floor covering business for 18 years now. I take pride in my work and want you to have a hassle-free experience. Let's do it right the first time and eliminate call backs because of poor installers!

I use tools and supplies that most installers do not even own. Those other installers [also known as box stores] make half of what the stores charge you. To make a living they need to get in and out and do three jobs a day. And who suffers? You do! PERIOD! With bad installations. And try to get them back out to correct their mistakes?! Good luck!

I want you to be satisfied and refer me to your family and friends. After all, it worked for my father!
